Oliver Ahn FAQ: Straight Answers About the Books
Everything readers email us about, answered plainly. Short version before you scroll: yes the books are erotic, some are strictly adults only, and the whole point of them is to be fun. They exist so you can shut the door on a bad week and escape everyday life for a few hours.
Are the books explicit?
Yes. Plenty of them are erotic, and some are strictly adults only. No apologies for that, it is part of what these books are. What they are for, though, is fun. Nobody reads one of these to be improved. You read it to laugh at something ridiculous and escape everyday life for a few hours.
The heat level varies a lot between titles and the product description on Amazon tells you which is which. General rule: if the title sounds filthy, the book is filthy. If it sounds unhinged but clean, it is closer to comedy with a lot of swearing.
Do I have to read them in a particular order?
No. Almost everything is a standalone. There is no continuity to protect, no recurring hero, and nothing you need to have read first. Pick whichever title made you laugh in the search results.
Where should I start?
I Faked a Robbery for Content and the Church Threw Me a Fundraiser is the cleanest introduction to the voice. The World Cup Came to the Trailer Park if you want the trailer park comedies. I Moved to Mars and Opened a Strip Club if you want the strangest one on the shelf.
Are they in Kindle Unlimited?
Most of them, yes. If you already pay for KU, reading one costs you nothing but an evening. A couple of titles sit outside Kindle Unlimited on purpose, so check the individual listing if it matters to you.
Where can I buy them?
Amazon. Every title lives on the Oliver Ahn author page, or you can browse the full catalog here on the site.
Are there paperbacks?
Yes. Most of the novels are available in paperback as well as Kindle, and the ones that are not yet will be. The activity and coloring books are print by nature, because coloring an ebook is difficult.
Are there audiobooks?
Not yet. Audiobook production is not open to us on Amazon at the moment. If that changes, newsletter subscribers will hear about it first.
How long are the books?
Most run between 20,000 and 100,000 words. Some are novellas you can finish in one sitting. Some are full novels. None of them open with forty pages of weather.
Is this a series?
Mostly no. The exception is the Starbeast Bonds science fiction romance books, which do connect. Everything else stands alone, even when characters share a zip code.
Are these based on real people?
No. The situations are recognizable because Florida is real, not because your cousin is in chapter four. Any resemblance to actual HOA presidents is a coincidence and also their own fault.
How often do new books come out?
Often. The reliable way to hear about a new one is the newsletter, which also gets you a free story.
What is the fastest way to support the books?
Leave a review. On a self-published book a single honest review does more than any ad we have ever paid for. Second best is telling one person who would find the title funny.
Who else should I read?
If you got here from someone else’s catalog, we wrote an honest comparison of how our books stack up against Quan Millz, Chuck Tingle, Carl Hiaasen and others.
